The Small Farm Training Group is a group, based in Sussex, which provides courses for training in a wide range
of agriculture and horticulture skills.
Members are
enthusiastic people who wish to know how to care for land, stock and
equipment in an efficient and professional way.
Courses are given in the evenings and at weekends on a wide variety of agricultural issues. The instructors are farmers trained in instructional techniques or lecturers from one of
the colleges who are geared to the person-to-person style of instructing in a
small group.
Monthly meetings are held for members, providing information and an opportunity to share experiences with fellow enthusiasts. Meetings start at 8pm with a speaker and there's also the opportunity to access the SFTG library.
We currently have in excess of 150 members across Sussex and into Kent and Surrey and further afield, with many varied interests from gardens to fields and farms. We are friendly and helpful. Why not make contact and try for yourself?
