Grow Your Own Bread – A Free Talk
|15 May 2020 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM||Cross In Hand Pub, TN21 0SN||Paul Lovatt-Smith|
Please note: This event has been cancelled due to the current Corona Virus outbreak.
We will be in touch with all those who are booked on this meeting. We hope to reschedule the meeting once government advice and the health situation permits.
Paul has been trying to grow wheat and make bread from it for several years, and has had several sucesses in recent years. He has made many mistakes along the way, but recent successes have given him the confidence to talk about it in public. Come and learn about his no-till, organic methods of growing heritage wheat and find out what it has to do with the Taj Mahal, Diodorus Siculus and Vitamin C. If we are really lucky, we may even get to try some of his bread on the night!
This is a free talk, for existing members of the Small Farm Training Group, and for those who are thinking of joining us, please do come along and have a taste of what we offer, if you like what you see, you will be able to join as a member on the night for just £20.
We also invite our members to bring their own produce to all of our Friday Night Meetings, so please bring your wallet or purse if you wish to purchase direct from a local supplier. Our members bring anything from Honey and Eggs, to Free Range Sausages, from Soap to Sloe Gin, from Lamb to Face Cream. (Please note produce purchases can only be made in cash, there is not a card option as you are buying from a small, often home rearing producer).
This event is fully booked.
